Amy -- at this point I think the (next) critical threshold is whether the collection of those caught directly in the abuse scandal crosses the line from the military ranks into the civilian defense/etc. neocon ranks -- and of course with the whole how you say 'not inconsistent' torture memos angle coming from the dubya/asscrack/et al ranks, from the top down, at the same time . . . -- could eaily imo congeal into one big scandal (or at least an irreversible decline in the polls for dubya and gang), along with/including the bad intelligence/Chalabi/secrets to Iran, the outing of Plame, horrible Iraq war planning, OBL still on the loose/al Qaida strengthened, not weakened -- all as something somebody else (you or tpbbls) posted here recently suggested -- ya like our chances?
