Not only did he taser his son (which he admitted) he was drinking in his patrol car. They fire deputies for alot less where I'm from. Here is proof the top article.

This Man Tasered Sarah Palin’s Nephew!

First of all anyone that tasers a child should be sent to prison. I don’t care if the “11 year old asks to be tazered” common sense says “DON’T TASER HIM, HES 11!!!!!!!” This man Mike Wooten the former brother-in-law of Sarah Palin has admitted to tasering his former 11 year old stepson. I personally think he is clinically insane, but I am not a doctor. All i know is that the democrats in Alaska feel as if tasering children is perfectly OK, after all Wooten was only suspended from his job for five days. On top of that Mr. Wooten has been married and divorced five times, obviously he is not in an emotional state of mind to ever remaining married. Wooten is also accused of threatening to kill Sarah Palin’s father, drinking in his patrol call and killing a poor little moose for no good reason.

Governor Palin had all the right in the world to request the dismissal of Wooten, after all she has devoted her political career to ending corruption, why not take down the man harming your own family. The fact that Wooten was not fired, and only given a five day suspension raises more eyebrows to me than whether or not Ms. Palin was out of line. I think this whole “troopergate” business should be put to rest, and that mass media and the Democratic party of Alaska should apologize to the governor who has the highest approval rating in the country.

G-d Bless Sarah Palin and G-d Bless the United States of America

You’re pathetic. Read Moderate-Independent and maybe then you’ll figure out why Sarah Palin is possibly the worst choice that John McCain could have made. And by the way, stop disgracing our forefathers by emphasizing “God Bless the United States of America”. God should have nothing to do with the government - and if you disagree, check out the constitution.

This guy is being hounded mafioso style by the Palin family.

Palin is abusing the power her office to pursue a personal vendetta.

He killed a Moose illegally. technically true. When he went hunting with his then wife SHE had a moose hunting lisence and he did not. He used her gunb and shot the moose .. TICKY TACK !!!

He used the safety hook-up on his taser to to demonstrate to his son what it felt like to be tasered. SO WHAT!?!?! Yes, discipline him .. BUT DON’T FIRE HIM! She’s so Hell bent on revenge that she even fired another innocent guy!!! She is wreckless.

What a horrible, horrible person this Palin is.

And why does she insist on lying about being against taking federal money for the “bridge to nowhere” ? What is wrong wth her?!?!

Riley, you are pathetic and you are too Daniel. What is wrong with Sarah? I guess the question would now be what is wrong with me! Why? Because if someone tasered my 11-year-old nephew, I would do the same freaking thing! GO SARAH!!!!! As for you Daniel, well you’re just pathetic seeing how nothing you said related to anything. GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!

These personal attacks against Palin, which is serving to keep the spotlight on the Republicans, is very likely to cause the Democrats to lose the election. It is like the Democrats think she is running for president.

OH, I HAVE READ THE CONSTITUTION AND IT SAYS:

Amendment 1 - Freedom of Religion, Press, Expression. (Ratified 12/15/1791.)

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

HMMM, LOOKS TO ME LIKE A GOVERNMENT OFFICIAL CAN SAY “GOD BLESS AMERICAN” IF THEY SO CHOOSE. (And I really don’t see where that says “separation of church and state” — so - GOD BLESS AMERICA, OUR GOVERNMENT, AND OUR ELECTED PUBLIC OFFICIALS.)

The first thing everyone should investigate in this case is actually a detail that has nothing to do with Sarah Palin’s guilt or innocence. It is a detail that she very wisely brought up as a diversionary tactic, a detail so sensational, it almost justifies any of her actions.

The detail, of course is the “tasering” of her nephew. I looked into that past case, and learned some pertinent details that have been supressed. Read this, from the Washington Post:

“Wooten said he deeply regretted the Taser incident, offering an extensive explanation. He said the device was set on “test” and contained less power than an electric fence. Wooten said he shocked boy using clips attached to his shirt and not darts fired from the gun.

He said his stepson became curious and wanted to feel the Taser in the same way that troopers tested the device on themselves during training.

“He was inquiring about the Taser and all the ins and outs about it,” Wooten said. “I hooked him up to one of the training aides and turned it on for less than a second. I had him on the living room floor with pillows around him and made it as safe as possible. When it was over he thought it was great and wanted to do it all again. He was bragging about it and telling everyone in the family about it.”

Jon Marc Peterson, one of Wooten’s attorneys, said the Taser incident was a violation of policy because he was using state equipment for personal use. “It was not the actual Tasing of the stepson that was the issue,” he said.

Wooten’s wife was in the home at the time, investigative reports state. The boy’s extended family, including Chuck Heath, the father of Sarah Palin, thought the story was humorous, Wooten said.

“If I had it to do over again, I wouldn’t do it,” Wooten said. “It’s one of those situations that nobody cared about. Everybody laughed about it, until several years later and it was made to be something it wasn’t.”

Okay, so it’s pretty goofy, but certainly to me, not as bad as it sounds when you hear, “He tasered his step son.” The bottom line is that he was disciplined for “personal use of state equipment”, not tasering the kid. Major point, along with the fact that the mother was right there, the whole family laughed it off, and Sarah Palin’s own father thought it was funny. As far as Palin’s wrongdoing, this case is closed.

Fast forward a few years to the aftermath of Wooten’s divorce from the now GOVERNOR Palin’s sister.

Palin suddenly wanted Wooten repunished for the past events. The testimony shows that Palin’s complaints were questioned by Moneghan because they arose so many years after the occurences. He informed her that the case was closed.

THIS is the point that all you people should began your questioning of Sarah Palin. THIS is the point that she overstepped her bounds, and insisted that her ex brother in law’s case be reopened. THIS is the point that she became obsessed with Wooten’s firing and the suspension of his workman’s compensation claim.

When Moneghan refused to travel back into history in order to assuage Palin’s newfound quest for justice, he was fired. This is the issue. Palin is the “defendant”. Not Moneghan, not Wooten.

Our information in this, the true case, is that she claimed no involvement, but changed her story when audio tapes emerged. She then agreed to an investigation, with which she now refuses to cooperate.

I have a refusal of my own. I refuse to consider her a viable candidate for the vice presidency of the United States until it has been determined whether or not she has the tendency to abuse power.

God knows, we’ve suffered eight years of that power hungry mentality under Diok Cheney. We cannot afford four more.

Jerry, we are supposed to protect our children from their stupidity. If a 10 year old wanted to become a left wing wacko, you are supposed to stop that nonsense too. Misspelling your leaders names, and screaming 8 is enough does not justify continuing your stupidity today. You weren’t right 8 years ago, and that fact has never changed.

Odd that Jerry Ulibarri leaves a reasonable and detailed response to the taser incident– that everybody in the family was there at the time, that Wooten was using the approved setting to test the taser on himself, that the kid asked to try it, too, and that afterward, the family laughed and the kid bragged about it to his friends– and Gotea fails to reply with anything but random complaints about left wing wackos.

It’s true that the guy shouldn’t have done it. But he was disciplined and it was over years ago. The fact that as soon as Palin became governor her major, front-burner issues were A.) Get this guy fired and B.) Lobby Congress for the Bridge to Nowhere earmarks (which she received and spent in their entirety) is more relevant to understanding her character and her principles.

“Killed a moose for no good reason”.
I cannot find any good reason to kill a moose under any circumstances. What do you think hunters (and Sarah Palin)do when they go hunting? They stalk and kill a defenseless animal “for no good reason”. Plenty of meat in the store to buy to eat, so it’s not if they will starve. They have clothes, so it’s not like they need the fur to wear…so tell me. When is it ever good to kill an animal.

I’ll answer for manderdoodle. It is important to cull disease ridden animals. It is also important to protect the ecosystem from uncontrolled population growth. And moose meat is tasty. Animals are food!
