The Penny King's Blog Monday, June 7th, 8:05 A.M. PST.
Lately I have returned to my regular practice of working 24 hours, sleeping 4 hours, working another 24 hours, then sleeping for 12 hours and using the remainder of my free time to pursue my first love, writing.
To write anything requires lots of good and accurate research as well as plenty of mindful preparation. To prepare I usually like to visit the mountains and get in touch with mother nature so as to relieve me of the stresses that the "civilized world" has to offer.
I have also returned to a habit which I learned from one of my mentors, which is to study at least five hours a day. With my work schedule the way it is, I prefer to get a weeks worth of work packed into 48 hours over a 52 hour period and then spend the next 24 hours doing research, homework, due diligence and serious study which involves looking up lots of words in multiple dictionaries. This task sometimes becomes more daunting when your research leads you into about a dozen different books at the same time.
Fortunately I have indirect access to a public library which allows me to check out up to 500 items at a time including books, videos, CD's and old tapes and records.
Lately I have also devoted a small but fair bit of time to painting. Most people do not know I have a talent for creating three dimensional paintings instead of the tried and entrenched two dimensional paintings so popular amongst pop neveau riche culture.
The paintings will hopefully some day be displayed on the Internet in the form of digital photography and some of them will appear in the movie version of "The Penny King".
I once had a heated debate with a wanna be film producer in Los Angeles who lives just down the street from the O.J. Killing incident. He was quite proud to live in the neighborhood of Brentwood, and was want to make offers on multi-million dollar homes either under construction or pending foreclosures.
It was a way for him to make money to finance his "wanna be" movie producing ventures but to date I have not seen or heard of him putting together any finance deals in the past year, except one which involved the forging of documents and using various means of subterfuge in taking over one particular public company that trades on the Pink Sheets, and another which involved phony documents purportedly issued by Union Bank of Switzerland said to be holding over $104 billion dollars worth of gold bullion.
The debate involved the high costs of film production since he had hired me at my regular rate of $3,600 per hour to arrange a $30 million financing package. The sad part is that I found it in a location he didn't want to be a part of, and turned down the financing. Instead he illegally wrested control of a public company I indirectly controlled. To settle the matter requires a legal battle in the U.S. Court System which will cost both sides around $50,000.00 to duke out.
This same young man, who to his credit did direct one movie I know of which starred the former Bionic Woman and who "unbiasedly" thought the movie was excellent and her greatest piece of acting work. It was called "A Light in the Forest". My personal review of this film has already been published here at IHUB under previous posts prior to my being put in jail.
This 28 year old whipper snapper (another word for Director) does have the talent to direct a film, but he has no clue about finances, no clue about publicly traded companies, and no clue about the amount of trouble he is about to get into.
Needless to say, let us make it public that this film director, "wanna be film producer" has made a bargain with the devil. He was asked that if shown how to make a billion dollars in 38 months, whether he would donate half that amount in cash to the Free and Clear Foundations of America, Inc., the indirect parent company of the publicly traded Delaware Corporation he so conveniently usurped through his attorney and who plans to defend himself legally with two of the highest paid lawyers in the nation.
We no longer argue privately, instead, we are both arguing publicly and looking into getting a few of the muckraking rags to run stories about his and my $60 million battle for the control of that certain publicly traded firm.
I am sure he would not mind the negative publicity in such trashy tabloids as the National Enquirer, Star or such other grist for the Hollywood mills. I have been approached by several international publications to write articles about the corruption that remains in the United States Securities Industry.
Sadly, I must end today's blog to continue my studies and research for I have read about 20 books in the past month and my goal is to read at least two books a day.
Right now I am in the middle of reading "Feature Filmmaking at Used Car Prices. How to write, produce, direct, film, edit, and promote a feature-length film for less than $10,000". We have already raised $25,000 in less than six weeks. The book was written in 1988, the same year I acquired Wes-Coast Mortgage and ended my hostile proxy takeover bid for Summit Savings of Bellevue, Washington. Perhaps the PI's could dig up the article on the subject from the former Bellevue Journal American.
