I erred in relating the actual buy order price in a prior post, as follows:
"Called Schwab tonight because my buy orders wouldn't go through with fractional cents eg., .95675." The order attempts were only three digits following the decimal point. When I entered the price and tried to submit it (e.g., .965, a new screen would advise that the amount was invalid.

The Schwab rep will be calling me back this coming week with a definitive explanation as to why a Schwab client can't place a sub-dollar fractional buy/sell order despite the fact that such transactions (regardless of size) are obviously routinely facilitated as evidenced by the real time transaction screen. One of the orders that I placed in vein was for .955, another for .965...they didn't fill. See below for similar orders that did:
