Not much known by now. It was a commercial building. The bomb appears to have been filled with thousands of nails, several injured. No responsibility claimed so far.

Yesterday I met a very dear and old friend here in Frankfurt (double meaning, he is in his mid 70's). He is Jewish and by the look of things he was here on the invitation of the city of Frankfurt as many other Jewish people from all over the world, South America, many Brits and lots of New Yorkers. They had a paid stay at the Frankfurter Hof, one of the best hotels in town. I know it is little solace for what many suffered, still a nice gesture from the city. -ng-
