Correspondance with Steve Haag re: ROV fleet revenue:

Steve:
Yes, of course you can't give out specific numbers. I should have been more clear. I was hoping you could enlightened us in terms of percentages.
ie: A 50% increase in ROVs means a 50% increase in ROV revenue. What percentage is the ROV fleet of Mako's revenue? And what percentage of Mako's revenue constitutes DDI's?
Your best guess is fine with me, or even a range. I understand that you cannot and will not cite specific numbers. I appreciate that. What we are trying to determine is how big is this news to our bottomline.
Thanks,
Carl

Carl:
If I collected all that information as percentages, one could calculate a specific number, unfortunately. This remains the hardest part of my job - disclosure.
All I can relay to you right now is that the ROV industry is growing larger and larger, demand is rising, and Deep Down has bolstered its ROV staff and inventory. So, 2+2 here equals opportunity. I am afraid I can't be more specific - RIGHT NOW. But, as we move forward, the impact of the company's move will begin to gel, and more specific figures will likely to be available in the public domain in the future.
In my opinion, and experience, most things the company releases ARE quite significant. Therefore, a simple review of the growing ROV market should be a good indictor that the company is capitalizing on another growing opportunity in its industry.
Although right now I can't discuss the numbers, I believe that this move is strategically significant - only time will tell if I am right.
I truly am here to assist you in figuring out the significance of our operations - please correspond as needed.
Thanks for your support of DPDW!
Regards,
Steven M. Haag
