The Iraq issue is becoming a big thorn in Bush’s side, the UN resolution will give the false impression that his vision of a democratic Iraq, albeit one with a compliant thug at the helm, is a reality.

Under the UN resolution Bush will be cooperating with his own puppet who has no real power.

Iraq’s elections are to be held by Jan. 31, according to the UN resolution, at the time of the elections the US through their occupational forces will still be the dominant power. As a prevailing force with Alawi along side we have a good chance of seeing substantial U.S. pressure exerted over the upcoming elections.
