Regarding trade shows, in my experience at these events over the past ten years, deals are generally not inked at tradeshows - I am not saying that it doesn't happen, but it is rare. However, the power of attendance at a trade show actually lasts for quite some time, and business is typically spawned rather than closed at these shows, and important relationships either created or strengthened. Luckily, the effects of attendance typically can last for a long time - sometimes months or years.
