Seriously, todd h, no one wants troops on the streets, but
can you give me an example of any government of any country,
not taking precaution against possible unrest on main street?

Seems to me that would be highly irresponsible.

Must admit I am very impressed by the reticence of the Thailand authorities
to use violence to stop the sit-in in the Bangkok government office complex.
