I'm sure you'll miss the next bull market by 8 years as well. What you permabears can't understand is that even if the total number of points that a bear market causes a fall is more than the points of a bull market, the timeframe is always very short compared to a bull. Dow isn't going to 0, lol.
The only way to get a long bear market realistically is for it to go down slowly like bull markets go up. The faster she falls, the quicker the bottom is. As we like to point to October 1987 sometimes all of it can happen in a single day. But you'll never see a bull run in a single day like that lol.
