i also pulled 2.6% on a one day short last week in the same mode so there are always plenty of opportunities either way. ones timing just needs to be perfect to short in an uptrend. i do agree it is better to go with the trend as a general rule though. at some point i like to put a stake in the ground and say a reversal of trend is near and take a net short position. im not ready to do that just yet,but getting closer.
