Obama is going to have to look for the "pot of gold" to somehow fund his ambitous programs.

People constantly complain that Bush's tax policies have been terrible but the fact remains that government receipts grew from $1.9 trillion in 2001 to $2.7 trillion in 2009.

Over the next few years I'm guessing we should see an slight decline in receipts because of capital gains, payroll and billions upon billions in banking deductions.

So while Obama hopes his "tax the rich" policy will cover his new plans they won't even come close. The tax the rich policy very well could pay for his yearly rebate program but that leaves his education and healthcare programs unfunded. He'll need to produce another "bad guy" and go after them.

I can't think of any pocket of wealth left in America anymore with the exception of putting an tax on investing (tax trading) or an tax or price rollback on healthcare.
