I thought IL-29 does not cause systematic immuno activation thats why the SE profile is going to be much better compared to that of alpha. Zymo's poster shows that IL-29 doesn't trigger the release of IL-6 from PBMC but when I pubmed on IL-29 an article claimed that IL-29 can suppress IL-13 from PBMC. I am now confused whether IL-29 has an immuno modulating role or not. If it doesn't then does that suggest IL-29 is going to be less potent compared to alpha?
