well, i think if you had 20 of your teeth broken off at the gum line after being beaten with rifle butts, clubs, fists, and clubs, you might rethink which magic person is likely to show up to relieve your suffering. so whatever his actual theological beliefs are, i respect them. if he felt a bit abandonded, i can buy into that, too... LOL
