NOVATO, Calif., Oct 2, 2008 (GlobeNewswire via COMTEX) -- On July 11, 2008, Sustainable Power Corporation (Pink Sheets:SSTP) issued a press release announcing the appointment of Northern California attorney Daniel Bartley to function as its outside general counsel.

Bartley has a background as both a Fortune 100 corporate counsel and as a whistleblower lawyer in cases alleging fraud against the government.

Although Bartley and the company engaged in preliminary discussions regarding the general counsel role, and although Bartley performed some legal services for the company, no final written general counsel agreement was ever consummated, and Bartley never was vested with the responsibility and authority of a general counsel.

Bartley no longer is legal counsel to Sustainable Power Corporation in any capacity.
