saying that he has never been a lobbyist is not true. actually, stopping lobbying a few days after his father's selection just sort of makes it implicit that something was wrong with it. and notice that in the lawyer weasel-wording that he never says he stopped getting paid by them, OR actually quit the firm, he just says he no longer "expects to act as a federal lobbyist". Big difference in that world where every phrase tends to hide a little white lie.
