Briboy -- and that is, of course, just fine objectively, and just fine with me -- absolutely your business and prerogative, period -- each one of us starts from scratch in this life having to in some way or other make some sort of sense of everything -- and each one of us is absolutely entitled to be free to cobble some such together as best s/he can and however best s/he sees fit -- that is a fundamental principle
but you must equally respect my corresponding right
where it gets tough is when someone tells me what I must believe, or tries to force any such on me (including forcing me to pay for any such) through the law or the government or in any other fashion -- or when someone tells me if I don't believe such and such, then I am evil and damned by this unseen magical being who has told them (but not me) what must be, and accordingly that as such I am less than they and thus not only subject to but worthy of their inspired scorn and abuse
as you've seen, I don't take well to such arrogance and presumption, and I will unapologetically return direct fire -- anyone who crosses into that territory is fair game
