In order to day trade it there would have to be potential buyers. I'm not familiar with the expected time line on such things. If the price of the stock did go down do you think I would I find a buyer for the Put in time to make a profit?

What you seem to be saying is that you would do essentially the same analysis on the put as you would for the stock itself. Am I right in that or is there something more that you would add?
