Now I think we're getting somewhere, endub. Allie, MC, IW, ItGuy, etc. jump in here and correct me if I’m wrong.

The way I understand it, Tradebook is Bloomberg’s Brokerage, which is available to their Bloomberg Professional subscribers who are traders.

Bloomberg isn’t just a trading system. It is an all-encompassing information system. I have worked in offices where people had “Bloombergs” on their desks and didn’t do any trading at all. That’s your customer base of 250,000+. Some percentage of those – the traders – also use Tradebook, which will now have the neat new tool called SpoozToolz Pro integrated into it.

Remember, Spooztoolz Pro needs a connection to a brokerage in order to execute trades. This requires that SpoozToolz be written to each and every brokerage’s API in order to work seamlessly. You can’t get SpoozToolz and have it work any other way. For instance, I can’t go out and order SpoozToolz without telling Spooz which brokerage on their list of “approved” (read integrated) ones I want to use. I can’t use it with Scottrade (not that I’d want to smile. I CAN use it with IB and soon, I’ll be able to use it with Bloomberg’s Tradebook.

My posts are my opinion only. I am LONG until I am able to retire in the manner to which I'd like to become accustomed.
