McCain's Gaffe of the Day - 09/19/2008
Debuting our new series, documenting the most substantial gaffes John McCain has made today, is a video from First Read of McCain calling the SEC chairman the head of the FEC. Normally, this wouldn't be a big deal, but yesterday McCain raised eyebrows by saying that he would fire, as president even though he wouldn't have that authority, the SEC chairman. Today, while reiterating what he would do as president with powers he wouldn't have as president, he says the same guy is the head of a different agency. John "The fundamentals of the economy are strong even though tax payers are about to kick in $1.5 TRILLION to save our economy" McCain really has no idea how our economy works:
