Both but more of holding over night. Since my margin account is below $25k, I can only make 3 trades a week if I buy and sell all on the same market day. However, I can sell any stock that I hold over night whenever I want plus my 3 one-day round trips. If I buy one stock at a time, I can make 5 over night trades and 3 day trades a week or more when I have enough money to split up into multiple stocks.
