Winston "Buzz" Willis was the first African American VP at RCA records in any division and the youngest at age 23. He was the Sr. VP of Operations for Phillips Electronics and spearheaded the purchase of the Mercury Records and MGM/Verve catalogs. He was the Executive VP and General Manager of CTI Records -- the most successful and largest jazz label -- with the first jazz record to achieve platinum status (Mister Magic by Grover Washington Jr. 1 million in sales). He produced two Presidential Inaugural Balls. For 24 years he was the manager of one of the most successful R&B groups in history, Kool and The Gang, and is still the partner of Robert "Kool" Bell (Kool and The Gang have sold over 70 million records). He is the manager of Nokio a member of Dru Hill's group and a producer of Dru Hill's music (a leading R&B Pop act). Nokio is also a major producer in his own right for several other groups. Mr. Willis is a consultant to Russell Simmons' Rush Communications, BMG Distribution, RCA Records, Amtrak and now Paradise Music. He's on the Board of the newly formed National Black Sports and Entertainment Foundation and was the Chairman of the Cultural Affairs Commission of Jersey City New Jersey.
