Profunds index and sector trading

So the Conservative Portion is reserved for following a major trend? Do you only go long with a 1X SPX fund (as opposed to a 1X or 2X NDX fund)?

Sorry to bug you with questions, but I'm trying to come up with a more conservative way to trade my wife's account. I trade my own account using USPIX/UOPIX, and accept the ups with the downs. But my wife is a bit more conservative than I am, and her account deserves different treatment.
