(Nasdaq: OPWV - news), the combination of Phone.com and Software.com, today announced that Telefonica Unifon, the second largest carrier in Argentina, now offers wireless Internet service to its 1.7 million subscribers throughout the country. Telefonica Unifon will power its robust service with the Openwave(TM) UP.Link(TM) server and enhanced services.

Corporate subscribers can also streamline their business transactions through the ability to instantly access their company Intranets and customer information anytime, anywhere. Using TDMA Circuit-switched data, Telefonica Unifon will launch this service with the Nokia 7160 phone.
