Two points on this:

1)Most on this board are pro-Stoll, or at least not vocal about his negatives. I understand the possible reasoning: What good does it do?

2)I don't think Varney is much of an unknown. The consensus here, I believe, is that his style will mimic Stoll's. IMO, it is like McCain succeeding Bush. In that case, the risk is the 'known,' not unknown. Let's just hope luck or synchronicity of some sort play out to make the conclusion to the Cortex saga a good one.
