Death does not give one the right to spiritual ascention. What they learn while they live does. You should cling to this life in the attempt to become spiritually aware. Once you have attained spiritual awareness, you simply carry out your prescribed duties until it is your time. All that lives has God in it's heart, animals included. One has to attain a sentient life in order to progress spiritually though. That is God's gift to you. An opportunity to come home. The door is ajar in you human life, but you have to see it in order to walk through.
