What "perception"? You take money to pump stocks. You don't care whether they're good stocks or not.

In fact they're really BAD stocks. If they weren't, they wouldn't have to hire touts.

But you don't care about that, do you? Not your fault if the gulliblers buy on your pump and lose money, eh? As Willy Whizzo, your co-tout, always likes to say: It's just business.
