well 5000bf/acre is basically no trees where I live in IL. 5 decent cottonwoods here would be around 5000bf. That would be 1 cut per tree to knock it down and 4 more cuts per tree to make it into 10-12 foot logs times 5 trees= 25 cuts per acre. Now I assume we are talking trees smaller than our cottonwood, so factoring more cuts per acre, lets say twice as many just for kicks= 50 cuts per acre times 200= 10000 cuts not counting trimming and road cutting or time to drag them out. how much would you be willing to wager? :)
