Dear Mr. xxx
The Agreement for Sale Agreement between the GOB and Blue Diamond Ventures Belize Ltd. for the sale of some 180 acres of land plus some 19 small derelic houses was signed on 12 June 2007.
The Agreement was revised on 31 January, 2008 to increase the acreage to 201 acres.
The Contact in the Ministry of Natural Resourcs who could advise on the completion of the surveys and transfer of title is the Deputy Commissioner of Lands, Mr. Rolando Rosado. That Ministry's phone number is 822-2249; 822-2791
The email address Financial.Secretary@mof.gov.bz was taken down about a year ago, when I assumed the post of the Financial Secretary.
A new one is to be put up, but has been delayed for various reasons. In the meantime, I have been using my personal email.
I have worked in many senior positions of the Government of Belize for over 29 years and my bone fides should be easily established by anyone who has done any business with the Government of Beilze, including the US Embassy in Belize if you so wish.
In closing I would like to again state that the Government of Belize is NOT in business with Blue Diamond Ventures Belize Ltd. nor in any partnership nor joint venture.
We see them as foreign investors who wish to establish a pilot bio-diesel facility in Belize.
We have no objection to this, but do not endorse or otherwise their proposed project.
I trust I have satisfied your queries.
Yours
Joseph Waight
Financial Secretary
