I saw a clip online the other day where UPS has set up their routes to almost always make right turns to conserve gas.

Of course it's not always possible to get where you want to go without making left turns but when you think about it, there is a lot more waiting (for arrows, traffic, etc) to make left turns than to make right turns.

The spokesperson said how much they have saved but I don't recall what it was. I will look for it again.
