mr.mark..................................Corran is correct, just replace it. I grant you, it may never leak again but chances are it will. With us standing by I can't imagine anything outlandish other than a $10 bill for a new valve.

Try Home Depot.

Corran: Ships at Sea are a multi-million $ ongoing repair. We use duct tape exclusively and to great effect. If you are spending less than $7 a roll you are getting poor performance.

Just like Scotch 33 electrical tape. There is nothing better. Use 3/$1.00 tape and you will have problems from the get go.

Sometimes we order a shaft because the old one is bent and keeps knocking out bearings. The ship is lets say; 25 years old. It costs us about $8,000 for that shaft. One is made from original blueprints...that is the cost of doing quality repairs...all else is BS
