LOL! Zeev, you should know that 50% number was arrived at by a journalist who looked at all the marriages and divorces that took place in a single year and came up with that ratio. It's been referred to ever since as THE rate.

All that number says is it's the ratio that filed for those two contracts during that year. Nothing more. I have yet to see a definitive study that shows the actual divorce rate, as you'd have to follow a group of folks for 70-years or something or use statistical progressions.

As a person with vast mathematical background, I thought you would appreciate the background on that piece of trivia.

Some folks might say that what's going down in Mitt Romney's state might constitute a new form of "happy" family.

Seriously, I think we need to address the NDX not making a new low below the March 24th low. It's the only major index I know of that has not done that, and that's not typical. If there were other indices that were above the March 24 low still, I'd be more inclined to let this slide.
