I think the most important thing people have to focus on is actually being able to sell the stock and not holding onto it like it's their best friend (don't get emotionally involved)
I've been trading penny stocks with just a streamer while working for several months now and have done very well flipping them.
People should find their own comfort zones and techniques because everyone has their own way of doing things. IMO you should learn as much as possible and take little steps until you build confidence. What's good for one trader may not be good for another.
