I am a famous basher, sarcastic at times, witty when it comes to me and a refugee from the weak-minded, narrowly focused, confused, fanatical, goofy posters at that ever so slow Finance site (misnomer)...RagingBull.

I am easily pulled into helping people...no problem.

One of the problems is other posters jumping in and contradicting me or offering other advice until the issue becomes confused. Here at IHub...the PM feature is marvelous. I have already used it to warn a woman on another board to ignore the men trying to demonstrate they know better. It IS a male thing to butt in. (Trying on an instinctual level to get laid)

About refrigeration: Simple!

Boil water on a stove. It takes heat to boil the water right?
The heat goes into and is retained by the water, then steam starts coming off...the steam contains the excess heat.

70 degree groceries have heat...40 deg. groceries have less heat, right?

OK...freon, in a liquid state, boils at MINUS 21 deg F.! No shit. So if I run liquid freon through some coils in your 70 deg refrigerator full of 70 deg food, the heat from the food boils the freon. The freon is now a gas (steam) which flows back to a compressor that compresses the freon AND all the heat in it and discharges it through a radiator (condenser) just like the one on your truck (and most have a fan also).

The heat is dissipated back into your kitchen air. The food, less heat, is colder.

The freon, minus heat...CONDENSES (ergo:condenser) back into a liquid and thus back to the freezer coil (EVAPORATOR) where once again, the heat from your food evaporates (boils) the freon.

Freon is NOT consumed, destroyed or lost...it simply changes states from liquid to gas and back...constantly...in a hermetic system.

Your sweat does the same thing for your blood. Sweat is the body's cooling medium and to a lesser extent, blood. The whole body is cooled.
