That's a true statement. Opteron and iAMD64 takes Microsoft to volume sales and greater support from other application developers. Microsoft has been there before and this is a good thing. Not to mention the fact that it's probably one of the few opportunities Microsoft will get to climb out of the impossible support mess that they are under now.
