I try not to inject to much opinion not based on facts and research. I don't ever want to influence anothers decission but very interested in sharing research and possibly helping others learning about the market with links and discussion. You will rarely see my emotions or how strongly I feel posted. Keeping control of emotions is one of the hardest parts of successful investing.
The short report confirmed my suspisions about last period. The way it was trading and the volume indicated one of two scenarios were playing out. Either insti's were selling to short cover or huge shorting was going on. Now we know a million short shares kept the break out somewhat contained. Based on results of last period and observing same selling patterns this period ending Monday 7-29-08, the shorts are dumping big again and it is not big boys getting out. I expect at least another 500,000 net shorted this period and really feel it will be over a million again because they had some success holding price down. One great thing is institutions must be buying up the shares and retail is not letting a large amount go either. Feels like shares are moving to strong investors hands and that is terrible news for shorts. With over 3.5 million shares traped under $7.50 where will we go on big news when there are only buyers for days? Yes getting very interesting.
