That is something you will have to take up with the company. The fact that many people are blaming me only shows their lack of experience. It is not my job to protect you. It is not my job to verify that what a client is telling me is fact. When I speak, I'm speaking for that company based on information they give me, that I must assume is accurate. That is a risk I must take when I take on a client like RVGD. You don't see me bashing the company for ruining my reputation do you? I just move on and try not to make the same mistakes.
I don't think the CEO lied, but I do think he got ahead of himself. I think he may have prematurely issued press on a number of things in hind site, but lying? I don't think so.
I believe he had some major road blocks unexpectedly pop up. I know he was struggling with cash flow just like any start-up would. I imagine that he had to trim down his growth due to cash flow problems.
There is a big difference between lying and failing. You have to understand business, economics and finance I guess to "get it".
