Poet- re Kyoto..

since it's global warming thing - er..my eyes glaze over with reading Protocol language..am for idea in general - don't know specifics..call me lazy.

Overall political stance? Proabably can be characterized as moderate conservative..what I'm really FOR is Common Sense and I don't care where it comes from politically..as long as it makes sense, is reasoned out and pragmatic.which is not to say expedient. I saw some reference below to "weaseling" - there's way too much of that..everywhere..There are more gray areas than B&W in important issues, but there are some issues that are best dealt with on a yes/no basis (B&W)..which I base on the Golden Rule..not on the 10 commandments or some other politico-religious system's set of dictums.. Liberals and Conservatives alike indulge in power politcs, intimidation, extortion, leveraging, manipulation, non-disclosure etc... so the labels in themselves, IMNSHO are meaningless. To achieve consensus requires a majority subscribing to shared values..
a difficult (to say the least) task in a pluralistic society.
