In the two plus years I have been a paying member for IHUB I have learned a great deal. Shelly helped me to understand that positive and negative views on a stock with a few words changed here or there are beneficial to the forum and a healthy discussion.
With that in mind I do see recently that the BLDV board has gotten out of hand. IMHO this could be said of many boards in the cycle of things.
Repetitive posts whether positive or negative about the same thing is a TOU Violation. I have for the most part sat back and watched many negative posts remain by the same posters that ask repetitive questions and add no value to the BLDV board.
In the sense of wanting to not cause a hostile environment I think that Admin would benefit as would the BLDV board and any IHUB boards that have similar situations going forward if certain posters with little or no DD causing repetitive posts were warned and dealt with according to TOU.
IMHO many of the problems on IHUB that I see are self fulfilling when there is not consistency across the board.
Sometimes I see a person post DD on a stock like BLDV and even though it does not violate TOU the post is removed. I am not able to give examples because the posts are gone.
On the other hand when negative comments are made and are not backed up with anything other than opinion or the negative post questions over and over valid DD proven by more than one poster that post and similar posts are allowed to remain.
When these same negative posters are ask to provide valid DD or do something active like be involved in a conference call by a poster who has gained a level of integrity either no comment is made or the offer is ignored and these posters continue to question,try to invalidate,cause fear etc. on the board and try to undermine posters.
In my opinion these types of actions are just as harmful and fall under either a new catagory of TOU violation or should.
It seems that free rein is allowed if you are bashing a stock and need no DD or facts and can do most anything including try to undermine and basically call a poster a liar.
Yet when posters who have done the DD on a stock even touch on a negative posters methods,mode of operation etc. they are banned, thrown in jail or otherwise warned privately.
IMHO its a double standard and it appears by what I continue to see that IHUB has a double standard.
As a matter of argument sake. I imagine that many of my posts if I chose to do so would stay on a board if I started becoming a so called basher on stocks with no information,DD etc.
Just my opinion and a little food for thought to make IMHO IHUB a better place with more integrity to go forward.
If my words are meaningless for the greater good of this message board then feel free to not comment and I will go on about my business. If however you are interested in a positive and helpful dialog then by all means consider tweaking your rules to deal with some of these issues.
Since many posters trade and or post on emotions they can get caught up in the moment and post something from frustration because they see over and over that a poster gets to do most anything if they are a negative poster. I understand that positive posters also do some to da moon,weeeeeeee,etc. that I do not like either so there is a balance needed of course.
I am all for positive or negative posts about a stock like BLDV if they have meat and substance to prove one way or another about a stock. The meat posts are not what I am talking about.
As I see it part of the problem I see over and over is a poster does DD on a stock and then a person or group of people like on the BLDV board come and just tear apart(with repetitive/not fact) every piece of DD or they focus on an item that has nothing to do with the DD and keep pounding it again and again.
Frustration sets in when a poster or posters feel that they cannot be heard on a board with valid,factual information that is up to date because the opinions and negativity outweigh any factual data. Sort of a negative tag team mentality in the IHUB ring.
IMHO if this was brought under control I think you would solve at least 50% of the emotional upheaval you see on most of the message boards. A level playing field makes for getting along. An uneven or heavy hand one way or another on a board makes Billy want to pick up his marbles and go home.
A good word picture IMHO is IHUB allows bullies to come to the playground and try to steal other peoples marbles and when someone complains then Admin says I didn't see anything or says are you sure they were your marbles in the first place.
Integrity goes a long way in helping people feel safe and secure in their IHUB neighborhood.
IMHO you can continue to run IHUB the way you are or you can chose to change it for the better. If you don't wish to change it then you will lose members because they will just grow tired of the same old same old.
