Does anyone know what plans the locals have for the site in the event that Laidlaw finally throws in the towel to the NIMBYs? There must be some money available for someone else to buy the site since not everyone wants a biomass plant there.
Also, it seems that the city of Berlin or some developer could have tried to purchase the old site early on knowing that the plant was going to close and knowing that they hated the stack that had been there for many, many years.
