The integrated bridge system (consisting of dynamic positioning system, radar, ECDIS - Electronic Chart Display & Information System, Helm & Conning controls, Route planning, autopilot, CAS -Collision Avoidance System, and the Data Recorder - the "black box" for ships in case of accident) was provided by Kongsberg and is primarily housed in the pilothouse with some components located elsewhere in the vessel. Marinette Marine built the pilothouse. Electrowave provided multiple MPCMS (Machinery Plant Control & Monitoring System) terminals for mounting inside and integration with the Kongsberg consoles. Basically, the IBS is the radar/navigation/steering control side.

The MPCMS is primarily housed in a large console assembly located in the Engineering Control Center. ABB provided terminals for mounting in the MPCMS Consoles for Azipod Control and integration. The MPCMS would control and monitor systems such as Main Engines, Generators, Electrical Power Distribution, Damage Control, Fire/smoke alarms, Firepumps, Flooding Alarms, Fresh Water Production/storage/transfer, Sewage Plant, Tank Level and Ballasting, and much more. Basically MPCMS is control of everything that makes the ship function.

The ABB provided Azipod control section would control the Azipods (pitch, direction, speed) and the frequency Variable Frequency Drive units that control them.

Electrowave did not provide the pilothouse but they did provide the MPCMS and other systems that all the other systems "talk" to each other through. There is no one control system on the ship but is rather "a system of systems" with MPCMS sitting in the center.

Besides the typo (PMCMS) the headline is also not correct.
