Here are pics of Radix Marine's big money maker assembly line product. It is a custom dog kennel for drug/bomb sniffing dogs for Homeland Security. They sold for $5000 a piece. These are pics of unfinished units since the finished units were shipped out immediately; sometimes picked up in person by the dog handler.
At the time they were selling a lot of these to the Washington State Patrol, about 200 as I recall. The WSP setup a dog school to acquire and train dogs for other jurisdictions. Along with each dog was supposed to go one of these kennels. I believe they also sold a few to the Oregon State Patrol and had serious enquiries from other state jurisdictions, including the Texas Boarder Patrol. Kathy was working hard to get these onto the GSA list so that they could be more easily purchased.
This pic is of a nearly completed kennel, missing only the front door. Note the sleeping cubicle mounted at the extreme rear.
I have no idea what status this project is in now. But as far as I know the patterns and prototypes, etc. all went to Brad's shop in eastern Washington as part of the move. Given Radix Marine's excellent reputation for quality and their high-level government connections I don't see any reason why this project couldn't be restarted.
