The virgin EPC ratio dropped dramatically today, not yet to a sell signal, but bad. Don't be fulled by the hugh EPC, 260,000 put contracts were QQQ. However, I for one cannot find what strike prices nor what dates, I see no signs of such a heavy put volume in the QQQ in the quoting systems. The Naz site shows almost twice the QQQ puts volume than the CBOE, go figure.... a lot in the May series ( near current price $34/$35), so maybe these are real Mosis puts rather than institutions hedging longer term. If that is indeed a correct assumption, then maybe the EPC is still OK ... tough to say from these data.
