I need some advice...

We are doing a major overhaul of our flowerbeds at our house. We've been working on it off and on for 2 weeks (my wife and I have probably put in about 20 hours each so far and we're getting close to the end.

I have some kind of black drainage pipe that runs along part of the sidewalk in front of our house. It runs for maybe 10 feet. We want to put a border down along the sidewalk, but this drainage pipe is in the way. Should/Can we take it out, move it or keep it where it is?
