The rental market has been much more active ... probably as result of people losing homes and credit to f'ed up to buy. Check their credit, get customary deposit and stay on top of things. It all should return to peak value in a few years.

Real estate lacks liquidity, but if you buy right you don't have the unpredicatbility of the stock market.
