some govt.. not big govt.. and did you see the story about chicago having the highest sales tax, 10.5 %... im from that state originally... where on earth is all the money going? in oregon, we have no sales tax and a property tax i can live with especially after we voted in some tax limitations... im for effective govt not big govt... i agree, its grown to big but the last 7 years have seen an explosion in size... i dont have a problem with some social services, there are people out there who are misfits.. and i like that social sec and medicare is there (well, i dont know if it will be when im ready for it), but i like the concept and that its there too keep elederly folks off the street when they are least able to fend for themselves and no longer desirable as a part of the workforce... eom
