Don't you understand that those criticizing Bush's policies are doing so to preserve all that has made this country and our way of life so great, or so they believe? Government is for We the People, and if we wish to uphold our Constitutional freedoms, we have a duty to hold government accountable. Does this bother you?

I find your choice of language, "blessed nation", very interesting as I have heard and read the same term used by Christian conservatives and fundamentalists, the political people among them with an agenda. The religious right seems to support Bush unconditionally, but how one reconciles Christianity or "blessed nation" with pre-emptive war remains a mystery to me. (Perhaps you could explain?) Yet fundamentalists and extremists, as well as everyone else are free to believe whatever they like. They are not free to impose their beliefs on the whole. As one who does not share your particular belief system, the influence of the fundamentalists on government is very troubling.
