You don't get it that this was not just the few soldiers. They were ordered directly or indirectly to do what they did by the chain of command starting with the President's cowboy "thugs-good vs.evil" rhetoric and the W/Rumsfeld's no-Geneva/we determine our own rules and nobody elses rules effect us" speeches. International cooperation must become the rule if we are to survive as a species on this planet. Also in a democracy we need the truth to come out. Already Bush has ruled that none of his papers belong to the public, even after he dies. What kind of junk is that for having an informed public who can rationally decide who should be our leaders. It appears that you want a democratic-appearing society which keeps the embarrasing stuff to ourselves. It sounds to me like a dysfunctional family that keeps all the dirty laundry to itself and the abusing parents appear to be good citizens. Time to let the truth ring out from the highest places. razal
