John Woods was born in Carbondale and is a life long resident of southern Illinois. He, his wife Rhonda, and their 4 children, currently reside in Marion. John felt a calling from the Lord in late 2006 to contact WCIL-FM and inquire about doing a christian radio show on Sunday nights. He has always had a passion for christian rock and hip-hop music, as well as teens, but doubted himself because he had no training or experience in broadcasting. This led to non-action on his part. In April 2007 at a men’s rally in Marion, GOD spoke to John louder than ever to contact the station (CIL-FM). He went home that night and sent the email. The next morning was an email saying that CIL-FM was indeed interested. CT:10 went on the air on November 11, 2007. John will soon be launching a ministry centered around the show and the music played. John is excited and anxiously awaiting to see where the Lord takes this endeavor.
