Yes, it is sad and this was inevitable in a capitalist greed based system The USA can not expect to benefit from slave labor overseas without eventual consequences. The fact is that all on this planet are connected - all people and things. The downfall of one group is bad for the entire planet eventually.People are shortsighted, only seeing whatever immediate gratification they will get by taking advantage of others. I am not a communist, socialist, or capitalist. I like to just see the facts as they are. This "great nation" is just over 200 years old, that is nothing on a historical scale. It is a terrible model with perhaps a few bright spots. Most people are struggling while only a few are prospering. Who ever decided that land and resources was owned by the privileged few? Those in power did! It is all about power, nothing to do with morality, justice, or anything like that. George Carlin just died. He left us with the truth of what is taking place.
